“ The best Vietnamese restaurant I've tried in the triad! Why? The broth for the pho is traditional and more northern Vietnamese style not too sweet like I've had at other viet restaurants in the triad. The herbs are the right ones you should always have with pho which surprisingly not all restaurants here provide. Lastly, WOW things wings are the star of the show. Thai basil chicken wings were fried to the perfect crisp with a tangy sweet but salty and Thai basil flavor. I enjoyed my time at pho hien for the kind service and delicious food. Perfect for the cold weather we've had! ”
“ I'd like to start my review by noting that my culinary preferences lean heavily towards Japanese and Chinese cuisine, and I'm not particularly fond of fish sauce, which is commonly used in many Asian dishes. With that context in mind, I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and try the Tofu and Vegetable Pho with Clear Noodles. From the very first bite, I was genuinely impressed by the dish's fresh and vibrant flavors. It was brimming with a delightful assortment of vegetables, including crisp carrots, earthy mushrooms, sweet snap peas, and a medley of others. What stood out to me was the additional serving of bean sprouts and greens, allowing for customization according to my tastes. As someone who values vegetables and prioritizes healthy eating, this aspect was particularly appealing and made the meal feel both nourishing and satisfying. While it may not have become my all-time favorite dish, I found it undeniably fresh, clean, and authentic in its presentation and flavors. Plus, I can guarantee you'll likely have leftovers, which is always a bonus! The restaurant is situated in a quaint shopping center, providing a cozy and inviting ambiance that makes it a pleasant place to dine. The interior is adorned with Asian-themed decor, which adds to the authenticity of the experience. Whether you prefer the intimacy of a booth or the openness of a table, there are plenty of seating options available to accommodate various group sizes. The service was exceptional; the staff were not only friendly but also genuinely attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Their willingness to assist and provide recommendations truly enhanced the overall experience, making me feel valued as a customer. In conclusion, I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Vietnamese cuisine or is looking to explore new culinary horizons. The only reason I didn't rate it a perfect 5 is due to my personal taste preferences, but it's undoubtedly a great dining spot that offers something for everyone. It's clear that this place is loved by many, as it quickly filled up shortly after opening, a testament to its popularity and the quality of food being served. If you're in the area and craving a fresh and flavorful meal, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit! ”
“ Yes yes a thousand times yes. This is one of those places where my favorite dish (Tofu Green Beans in Garlic Sauce) is *so* good that I've rarely strayed to other items on the menu. However, when I have, it's always been the absolute heat (especially if you get it Vietnamese or Thai Hot, you brave foodie, you). Indulge yourself in a thousand perfect flavors in a bustling dining area where everyone is enjoying everything in front of them. The staff is courteous and fast, making sure your perfect meal is ready and delicious for you just when you need it. 10/10 goated Greensboro institution. When you live in a city where you have to choose between multiple great Vietnamese and Thai restaurants when you get the craving...well that's just the dream. ”
“ The best lunch deal around. They even have a frequent diner program that you get a free meal after 10 lunches or dinners. I usually come for lunch while in the area. Parking can be difficult. There's a gravel lot behind the restaurant because space in the plaza is limited. Be careful turning in and out. Traffic goes quickly and people ignore the double red lines to turn in. Friendly and quick service. You may have to wait for a seat during lunch so I recommend going early or closer to closing (3) ”
“ Still my absolute top spot for Vietnamese, or really the best all around place to get most any cuisine of the Asian variety. They do it all right here. Flavor is on point, price is right, service is efficient, and the place is clean. They continue to set the standard for the area. The Pho is what brings all the people here, and really, you'll have a hard time finding better. It's a giant bowl as well, I have seen that you can upgrade to a "really big" bowl of Pho, and I would love to see what that looks like, or to see anyone finish it. I particularly like the seafood special pho, the beef stew, and just the pork. The lunch specials here continue to be an excellent value, and a must try. For all the reasons above and more, you should make Pho Hien Vuong a top priority for any visit to Greensboro. ”
“ My first time trying this place and I'm amazed. I didn't try much, but the chicken noodle soup alone was enough for me to gauge the kind of food coming out of this place. It was completely slammed, I've never seen so many people at a Greensboro restaurant before (usually that's a good sign). The chicken noodle soup tasted fresh, slightly sweet and absolutely delicious - I definitely want to come back and try more on the menu! ”
“ Whenever I am in the mood for a huge bowl of yummy ummy, AMAZING pho, Pho Hien Vuong is my spot! I don't know how long Pho Hien Vuong has been established, so let's just say they have been here FOREVER. There is one thing I can tell you, they are ALWAYS consistent. The restaurant is very causal dining and is usually very busy. I normally get carry out, but this time I dined in. The staff was kind and so very helpful. The food arrived quickly and piping hot. The garnishings are always fresh and make something even more magical happen to an already amazing bowl of soup. The shrimp fried rice was plentiful and just as tasty as the pho. If you love pho, THIS is your spot! ”
“ I was told this place can get really busy at lunch time, but we lucked out and got a table right away. They started out in one portion of the plaza and have kept expanding into the next section of the building until now where the whole building is dedicated to serving delicious pho. The lunch specials are crazy cheap, but for my first time here I wasn't worrying about price. I wanted an amazing bowl of pho and that's exactly what I got. And to be honest, the prices across the board are very reasonable. I started with a fresh spring roll and a fried one. The fresh was huge and packed three whole medium size shrimp in it. It's paired with a small bucket of delicious peanut sauce that was thick almost like actual peanut butter. The fried one had chicken and was tasty as well. For my entree, local legend Erik S recommended the Special Beef and Seafood pho which is loaded with rare steak, meatballs, shrimp, scallops, calamari, onions and served in a beef broth with all the fixins on the side. This soup was so good and I was wishing I could have taken leftovers with me because there was no way I could finish it in one sitting. The salted lemonade is also a must if you're a fan a adding salt to everything like me! ”
“ Pho Hien Vuong has got it all: a dedicated veg menu (where they note which dishes may have egg), generous portions, incredible prices and... salted lemonade! Yes, I need more salt in my diet, thank you very much. It really does seem to enhance everything. We came here for lunch at the suggestion of the Triad's local expert, Erik S, and the three of us were seated at a comfy booth. As soon as I saw the tofu spring rolls on the menu, I knew what I was ordering. Bonus that they come with more than enough sauce. I can't tell you how many times I'm done with the peanut sauce two bites in. For this alone, they get an extra star. I ordered the lemongrass tofu with some extra broccoli added in because I'm the extra girl and it was exactly what I needed in my day. It's extremely flavorful and thank the gods they also have vats of spicy chili oil and sriracha on the table for us spice fiends. That said, the dish isn't inherently spicy fo feel free to order it if you are not a spice fiend. Service is fast, attentive and friendly. Like I said, Pho Hien Vuong has it all. I can't think of a way that it could be better. ”
“ I still agree with my previous review and highly recommend anyone giving a Pho Hien Vuong a try. They have a big menu that anyone can find something they would like. My favorite is their beef pho but I like to mix it up and have their pork over rice or their pad Thai. This is a spot where the service is always fast, you can get a delicious meal for a great price that feels like it was home cooked. A Greensboro staple for sure! ”
